Differences Day is a one-day workshop for our 2nd and 5th grade students that educates them about various types of disabilities while incorporating the importance of tolerance, patience and acceptance of those with disabilities. It includes a series of hands-on activities designed to simulate visual, auditory, speech and motor impairments, as well as learning differences. The purpose of the program is for the students to better understand the challenges faced by children, and adults, with special needs.
Differences Day is RUN BY PARENT VOLUNTEERS who facilitate the learning stations each child visits. Click here to pick your volunteer time. There are opportunities to volunteer at three sessions that day. Sign up for one session or as many as you want.
