As you may have heard on Curriculum Night, Differences Day is on Monday, November 6th at Meadow Pond this year. Differences Day is a one-day workshop that educates elementary school children about various types of disabilities while incorporating the importance of tolerance, patience and acceptance of those with disabilities. It includes a series of hands-on activities designed to simulate visual, auditory, speech and motor impairments, as well as learning differences. The purpose of the program is for the students to better understand the challenges faced by children, and adults, with special needs.
There are opportunities to volunteer at three sessions that day. Sign up for one session or as many as you want. Please also RSVP if you will be joining us for lunch.
Here is the link to the SignUpGenius site where you can choose when you'd like to volunteer.
